Shipping policy

Salford Roasters Courier Service & Lead Times

At Salford Roasters, we want your coffee to arrive as fresh as possible. You’ll receive your coffee within 10 days of its roast date, and delivery charges are clearly shown at checkout.

Dispatch Timings

  • Orders placed before 12 noon (Monday to Friday) are usually dispatched the same day, where possible.

  • Orders placed after 12 noon are dispatched within 2 working days.

  • Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.

  • Orders placed after 12 noon on a Friday may be processed the following Monday.

We aim for next working day delivery after dispatch, but please allow up to 3 days due to courier routing and efficiency.

Saturday Deliveries

Our courier partners may deliver on Saturdays, depending on your local area and their delivery guidelines.
If you do not want a Saturday delivery (e.g. if you're an office), please mention this in the checkout instructions.

DHL Courier Guidelines

DHL typically delivers Monday to Friday, and occasionally on Saturdays, between 8am – 4:30pm.

  • Next working day delivery applies from the point of dispatch.

  • Unfortunately, DHL does not offer next day delivery to Northern Ireland or some Scottish postcodes. In these cases, we’ll use Royal Mail under the same general approach. A slight delay may occur.

  • DHL will attempt two deliveries before holding your parcel for 14 days, after which it is returned to us. A £4.75 return fee applies in these cases.

  • If incorrect address details are entered by the customer and result in failed delivery, Salford Roasters is not responsible, and the customer must arrange retrieval directly with the courier.


Free Delivery

From time to time, we offer free UK delivery.
To qualify, look out for special offer codes on our website and social media channels.

Items will be delivered to the shipping address provided at checkout, not the billing address.


Delivery and Courier Details

If you’re not home when delivery is attempted:

  • Couriers usually leave a delivery card and will attempt delivery again the next working day.

  • You can rearrange delivery by following the card instructions – often at no extra charge.

  • They may also try to deliver to a neighbour – details will be on the card.

We strongly recommend leaving a ‘safe place’ note during checkout (e.g. "leave in the blue paper bin" or "with neighbour at no. 42") to help ensure smooth delivery.

Once a parcel has left Salford Roasters HQ, we cannot be held liable for delays or issues beyond our control, but we’ll do our best to help – please get in touch if you have any problems.


Coffee Machines & Grinders

Postage and packaging for machines and grinders will be quoted at the time of order.


International Orders

For international orders, please contact us directly.
We generally ship using UK Royal Mail and are subject to their terms and timelines.


Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, we’ll offer a replacement or refund.
Please contact us to arrange the return of the goods.


Change of Mind

If you’ve changed your mind or are not happy with your order, you have 7 days from delivery to let us know at orders@salfordroasters.co.uk.

  • Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, and in a saleable condition.

  • Returns must be booked through DHL (our courier), and you’ll need to arrange a return slot.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

  • We recommend obtaining proof of delivery, as we cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.

Note: We can only accept returns for items bought directly through salfordroasters.co.uk. If you purchased through a stockist or wholesale partner, please contact them directly.


Faulty Goods

In rare cases, products may develop a fault (e.g. Sage coffee machines).
If you believe a product has a manufacturer defect, contact us at info@salfordroasters.co.uk and we’ll put you in touch with the appropriate support team.

Faults due to excessive wear or misuse are not considered manufacturing faults.


Sage Machines – Delivery & Cancellations

Delivery on Sage machines usually takes 3 days, but may take up to 1 week depending on stock levels.

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us immediately. You may be liable for a £25 admin fee.
